Bangkok is the final stop for the American Fair series at Parc Paragon and SCBX Next Tech in Siam Paragon, Rama I Road, daily from 11am to 9pm, staring tomorrow until Sunday.
Held by the US embassy, the fair previously brought music, food and exhibits on American history and cultures to Hat Yai, Korat and Chiang Mai in celebration of America's founding 250 years ago.
The Bangkok event will feature live music and performances by the Carolina Jazz Ensemble, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Mahidol University, Fino the Ranad, Hard Rock Cafe and Yamaha Music School on the main stage. Expect to enjoy live music by US diplomats and swing dance by the Jelly Roll Jazz Club.
At SCBX Next Tech, spell out your name using Nasa satellite images in the "Your Name In Landsat" activity and hear from business and technology leaders. For those looking for more fun, there will be a cooking challenge with chief Ian, a rodeo bull ride challenge, an American trivia game, a rooster crowing contest and an apple balance game.
Other activities include a workout with US Marines, a swing dance workshop and movie screenings of such hits as Grease, Toy Story, Back To The Future, Independence Day and Saving Private Ryan.
Visitors are invited to get their faces painted, take on the "Freedom 250 Explorer Passport" challenge, turn themselves into collectible trading cards at the photo booth and grab some free popcorn and cotton candy while exploring the US Mission Thailand and partner booths.
